The fossil wood is often part of a tree log preserved in the form of fossil. There are 3 types of fossilized wood: petrified wood, mummified wood, and submerged forests. Petrified wood is a fossil, whose organic matter was replaced by minerals in the slow process of permineralization. All organic material is replaced by minerals and remains the original structure of the wood itself. This is the reason why petrified wood changes color, taking the tone of the minerals in the soil in which it is located. We collect the petrified wood in three different places: Indonesia, Madagascar and the Arizona desert in the United States.
